Alternatively, free fast antigen and PCR tests are carried out on the Screeningstrasse and in the Schwaz Szentrum, only 2 km from the hotel and with a maximum waiting time of 15 minutes. Did you know that 85% of the people in Schwaz are already vaccinated? This makes our district one of the safest in the entire country!

CANCELLATION FEES:

In case of cancellation without effective cancellation insurance, the following cancellation fees apply:

  •  up to 2 weeks before arrival free of charge
  • less than week up to 7 days prior to arrival: 30% of the total arrangement price according to the reservation confirmation
  • less than 3 days before arrival as well as in case of early departure: 90% of the total arrangement price according to the reservation confirmation

 
CANCELLATIONS DUE TO COVID
 
If you are unable to travel for reasons related to Covid-19, your stay will be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival.

We would use your 30% deposit as a voucher for your next stay.
 
Free cancellation:

  • Travellers have tested positive and have an official confirmation
  • Travellers are considered as contact persons 1 due to an official order
  • Border closing of Austria or/and the country of origin
  • The country of origin classifies Tyrol as a high-risk or virus variant area
What measures are currently in place so I can feel safe as a guest at Schwarzbrunn?

In Schwarzbrunn we have extended hygiene and safety measures for your safety:
 

  • Our cleaning and disinfection standards are stricter and the frequency is increased.
  • Our employees are tested weekly for COVID-19.
  • In addition to the usual registration, guests will have to show a valid negative test result, a vaccination certificate or a confirmation of having passed COVID 19 upon arrival. In any case, it will also be possible to be tested on site.
  • We have disinfectant dispensers available throughout Schwarzbrunn. We ask you to use them regularly, especially in the restaurant and in the buffet area before taking anything to your table.
  • With the spacious areas in Schwarzbrunn, the minimum distance rules are not a problem. We ask you to adhere to them.
  • According to the Austrian federal government, wearing a mouth-nose protection is mandatory in public places and enclosed spaces from 01.07.2021.
  • The obligation to wear FFP2 masks only applies in the care sector, elsewhere a mouth-nose protection (MNS) is sufficient.
  • Check-in at the hotel can only take place for tested, vaccinated or recovered persons (3-G rule), for this we ask you to have the respective certificates ready (negative test certificate must not be older than 48 hours for rapid antigen tests, or 72 hours for the PCR test. Certificate for vaccinated persons is valid from the 22nd day of the first vaccination and one is considered to have recovered if one has suffered a Covid-19 disease within the last 6 months and also has a corresponding document with details).
  • From May 19, 2021, according to the Austrian Federal Ministry, all guests who stay beyond the validity of the entry test and who have neither recovered nor vaccinated must carry out a self-test every 2 days under supervision on site.
  • For the safety of our guests and employees, the entertainment and activity programme as well as events in Schwarzbrunn are currently adapted to the official requirements.
  • All loan items such as e-bikes, games, room cards, etc. are thoroughly disinfected and cleaned by us after use, as always.

Is the wellness area in Schwarzbrunn open?

Yes, the entire Schwarzbrunn Spa including pools & saunas is open!
 

  • The maximum number of guests per sauna is posted in front of each sauna cabin. We ask our guests to pay attention to the maximum numbers posted.
  • You can use our saunas from 60° C in particular without hesitation, as there is no risk of viruses here. Unfortunately, our daily sauna infusion programme and body scrubs cannot take place at the moment due to official requirements.
  • Wearing an FFP2 mask is also compulsory in the SPA entrance and at the SPA reception. The mask can of course be removed when bathing or taking a sauna.
  • Dispensers with hand disinfectants are also provided in our wellness areas.
  • In addition to showering, before and after swimming, and after every sauna session, we recommend regular and thorough hand washing and disinfection.
  • The safety distance must also be observed in the water and during aqua fitness courses. Naturally, we have also increased the officially prescribed hygiene measures in these areas.

Can I book beauty treatments and massages during my stay?

Yes. You can continue to enjoy your treatments and massages at Schwarzbrunn. The minimum distance may not be exceeded in the Beauty Quelle, so you can enjoy all treatments from the Spa menu. Our therapists wear FFP2masks and are specially trained regarding the new hygiene standards and safety measures. We also ask you to wear an FFP2 mask during your treatments - unless you have booked a facial or a massage in which you lie on your stomach.

Are the sports activities taking place and is the fitness and health club open?

Our health club is open for you as usual. Here, too, there are measures to enable you to train without worries.
 

  • You will find hand sanitizer dispensers.
  • The user must disinfect the equipment in the fitness studio with the disinfectant provided after use.
  • Our varied activity programme continues as usual. Supervised fitness and sports facilities are relocated outside, if possible. For programmes that are currently not feasible, alternatives are offered outdoors.

Will buffets continue to be offered and are there other restrictions in the catering?

Yes, our buffets will continue to be offered with self-service. We ask you to disinfect your hands before entering the restaurant area and especially before taking out food. Due to the spaciousness of our restaurant areas, the minimum distance can be maintained at all times. Therefore, you can look forward to culinary enjoyment without further restrictions! The official curfew of the restaurants is currently 10 p.m.
According to the federal government, the curfew will be changed to midnight on June 10, 2021.

We are traveling with the whole family and have booked several rooms under different names. Can we all sit together at the same table in the restaurant?

According to current official requirements, 4 adults with 6 children may sit indoors and 10 adults with 6 children outdoors at a table.
From June 10th, 2021 up to 8 adults can sit indoors and up to 16 adults outdoors, plus children in each case.

Do I have the opportunity to be tested on site?

With us ,you have the opportunity to be tested quickly, easily and free of charge directly in the hotel. After the arrival, the guest will have to carry out a controlled self-test every 2 day during the stay when using further services in the hotel. Alternatively, free fast antigen tests are carried out on the Screeningstrasse, only 2 km from the hotel and with a maximum waiting time of 15 minutes. Did you also know that 85% of the people in Schwaz are already vaccinated? This makes our district one of the safest in the entire country!
 

  • Negative PCR tests from an authorised entity are valid for 72 hours from the time the sample is taken.
  • Negative antigen tests from an authorised entity are valid for 48 hours from the time the sample is taken
  • Negative antigen self-tests recorded in an official data processing system - in Tyrol www.selbsttest.tirol - are valid for 24 hours.

What are the current entry requirements for Tyrol and which documents do I have to show?
  • All persons entering Austria must register electronically before entering Austria and have the confirmation of receipt printed out or presented on a mobile device upon arrival
  • It is mandatory to register all guests by providing their name and contact details.
  • When using additional services in the hotel such as gastronomy, a self-test must be carried out under supervision on site every 2 days from a stay beyond the validity of the entry test.
  • The 3-G rule applies: this means that every person entering must either be tested, vaccinated or recovered
  • The following applies here: a negative test certificate must not be older than 48 hours (antigen rapid test) or 72 hours (PCR test) and must be in German or English
  • People who have already been vaccinated (applies from the 22nd day after the first vaccination) and people who have recovered who had a Covid-19 infection within the last 6 months do not need an additional negative test report
  • As of June 1st, 2021, new entry regulations will apply to Austria: Entry from most countries will be possible without quarantine (taking into account the 3-G rule)!

What should I watch out for when I return to my home country?

When returning from Tyrol to their home country, guests must also observe the entry regulations applicable in their home country for a return journey from Tyrol.
For Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, among others, there is no quarantine obligation on the return journey!

Is there a general mask requirement in Tyrol?

According to the Austrian federal government, there is an FFP2 mask requirement for all publicly accessible, closed areas such as retail, public transport, service providers or markets. For non-closed areas, wearing FFP2 masks is only mandatory when the minimum distance cannot be maintained. With us at Schwarzbrunn there is an FFP2 mask requirement in the common rooms in the hotel, such as when entering the restaurant area and when removing items from the buffet. Of course, our employees wear mouth and nose protection at all times. The FFP2 mask requirement applies to all persons over the age of 14. All children between 6 and 14 years of age are required to wear mouth and nose protection (FFP2 not necessary).

Are shops, mountain railways and other leisure facilities open in the area?

The following companies may reopen if all applicable safety measures are observed:
 

  • Gastronomy and hotel business
  • Art, culture, thermal baths, wellness, leisure and entertainment offers
  • Personal services such as hairdressers and shops for daily use are open as usual
  • Anyone who wants to take advantage of tourism and leisure opportunities or attend events and is not vaccinated or has not recovered can test themselves for COVID19 every day - preferably as part of their morning routine - free of charge.
  • The result of the antigen test is available after just a few minutes. The negative test result will uploaded to the platform www.selbsttest.tirol and the confirmation SMS or email  is valid in Austria for 24 hours as access authorisation
  • Overnight guests receive the self-tests daily free of charge from their host.
  • The test procedure is a simple nasal swab.
  • Antigen self-tests with digital recording are only intended for use in Austria.
